FAQ
We are a mobile SUP school, based mainly at Lake Illawarra. You'll see our SUP Shellharbour van in the car park near the Lake Illawarra Kiosk (on the southeastern side of Windang bridge). We'll usually be on the water, so just wait by the van 10 minutes prior to your session time. We will let you know if we need to paddle at another nearby location.
Are you eco-certified?
Yes, we successfully completed the 2024/25 Strive for Sustainability Scorecard issued by Eco Tourism Australia.
We also use B-corp products by Red Paddle Co.
We prefer payment to be made with your booking. There are secure online payment options available. Options include PayPal, credit card and direct debit. If using a gift voucher, please enter the voucher number for redemption.
Can I bring my own SUP & paddle?
Yes, we offer a $10 discount if using your own board & paddle. Please use promo code: "OWNSUP" when booking online.
How can I find you?
What are your payment methods?
Do you offer rentals?
Yes, we offer supervised rentals where you are asked to paddle in a designated area on Lake Illawarra. Our policy is to have an accredited instructor on the shore or the water at all times to ensure safety. Please ring if you'd like to rent.
What do we wear?
In summer, you'll just need swimwear, with optional shorts/rash vest (and don't forget the sunscreen!). In Winter, on colder days, & for our Night SUP sessions, a light weight jacket may be required. Remember, if you don't fall in, you don't get wet - so you can wear anything really (though light weight is best just in case you do!).
Do you cater for accessible needs?
Yes, we would love to discuss your accessible needs in more detail, so feel free to call Bec on 0427667938 so we can ensure you have the best paddle boarding experience!
We have accommodated those with wheelchairs, CP, hearing & sight impairments, to name just a few.
The business has completed ATEC's Accessible & Inclusive host program 2024/25.
